THE BASICS | WARDROBE

When it comes to my wardrobe, I'm a girl of the basics. My closet seems to lessen, and simplify, as my age climbs its way up towards my 30s (gahh). My life is a bit all over the place, and I need a wardrobe that's versatile, and I want one that's chic. I need to be able to hop from a client meeting, to the grocery, to a job site, and to happy hour...and I need clothing items that easily make those transitions. What's more, I live in a little old house, with a little old closet, so I strive for basic items that make enough of a statement to stand on their own, but are simple enough to layer and not look overdone.

So there you have it.  A few of my wardrobe basics. Some are wishlist items, yes (that R&B scarf, for one), but some are tried and true (and obsessed with) staples. I live in my white Bella Dahl shirt (you locals, go to Morton James ASAP, you will obsess over their Bella Dahl selection). It's the softest thing ever to have against your skin...I love the architectural tulip-style back, and the sleeves roll up for easy seasonal transitioning. My Cuyana tote goes with me everywhere, and currently doubles as a diaper bag. (I've put a saddle-hued version through the ringer and its aged beautifully). Those Loeffler booties are simple and versatile (low-heel is essential for job sites, not to mention Kentucky winters), and that Mango camel coat is calling my name! That tie waist is super flattering. Top it all off with simple gold bangle and a bold lip, and suddenly you're dressed for any occasion.

HAPPY DREAMING / SHOPPING.
