Sampson the great.

Rather sad today. We knew this was coming. Still, though, so sad. Sampson, the biggest, most beautiful, most loving black lab you could possibly imagine, and a Maple family institution, passed away from Bone cancer this afternoon.

He will be sorely missed.

xoxo.

sorry about your doggie :( we got a dog this summer and named him sampson, who is also a big lovable black beast, so your blog caught my eye.

Oh no! I'm so sad to hear this news. As someone who owns two Labs herself, I can't imagine what this feels like! :( So Sorry Ms Hannah!

Thank you each for your sweet comments! He was an amazing dog, and a part of the family, but remembering him will always make us happy :)

So sorry to hear about your pup. On the other hand, best of luck to you in your new hometown. I've never been, but I've heard that Charleston is lovely.

I just found your blog (from Melissa Phillips' blog) and was scrolling through your posts and saw this one. I am so very sorry about your sad news. Losing a pet who is loved so much is the hardest thing....hang in there and focus on the happy memories. It really touched me because we had to say good-bye to our sweet Zippy kitty due to bone cancer. Here's to brighter days.
