There's no place in the world like it (and no, sometimes we don't wear shoes)...and apparently designer royalty duo Badgley & Mischka feel the same, for they reside in the boundaries of my home city--Lexington. Their diggs are a bit fancy for my tastes, but I'm loving the contrast between black, white, and dark-stained wood. Masculine...but totally refined, if not elegant. And ohh...to live on that million-dollar land...
Thank you, Elle Decor. This was so fun to see.
I think it's safe to say I'm terribly missing Lexington today, and all my family and friends.
XOXO. Miss you ALL.
GIRL i am certain i sent you an email/text about this article when it first came out.... absolutely positively certain. my boss stole it from me to send to a client and i was so pissed.

the chaise, the sinks, the vintage Mercedes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove Elle Decor, Love this spread, and LOVE KY the most! Even though I am just in TN and not too far, I miss it too!
ReplyDeleteI know EXACTLY how you feel. When we lived in Charleston I was completely in love with the "Holy City"...but still longed for the open bluegrass fields. Both are beautiful and welcoming, just in their own ways.
ReplyDeletei had no idea they had a home there! LOVE it! oh how i miss lex...
ReplyDeleteBEA: you most likely did--I'm SO forgetful! I'm obsessing over those wood-stained doors...
ReplyDeleteKATE: Nothing compares to KY, I know!! Hope TN is treating you perfectly well, though...would love an update on life!
KATHERINE: Where did you live in Charleston? You're right, both cities have amazing qualities, and Charleston really is astounding. It's beauty and charm is endless...and I'm so happy here! But I really wouldn't mind residing in Kentucky again someday.
SARAH: I'm with you--and I so wish I had known this while I lived there! Totally would've tried to make friends :)
